Day 1
Friday Afternoon, March 5th 5:00pm
An informal welcome where students and chaperones can meet peers from other schools and share stories of service and impact in their communities. Students will share specific challenges they’ve faced in their leadership and service work.
This will be a time for students to share what they are working on, lessons they have learned, and connect with others to potentially find common solutions to problems.
Friday Evening
Opening dinner and orientation (student led), followed by time for school group reflections and goal-setting.
Day 2
Saturday Morning, March 7th
*This is the key piece in our schedule: the opportunity for students to network, work with experienced mentors, and gain exposure to real-world projects and issues.
Students will work alongside adult mentors on case studies. They will work through the process of writing an action proposal, a skill they can take back to campus with them.
Saturday Afternoon, March 7th
Collaborative case challenge: mixed-school teams will tackle a real-world issue transferring the skills from the morning to this new task.
Students will work with each other, mixed up from different schools from around the world, to create an action proposal and visual that they will share on Sunday. Other iterative processes may be introduced here so that students have more tools at their disposal.
Saturday Evening, March 7th
Dinner and time to relax, reflect, and connect.
We really want to stress the importance of ongoing reflection both as a part of our journeys in service and through iterative processes by modeling it here in the conference. We want your students to connect across schools and regions but also to be introspective and connect with their own school and advisor to make sure these skills and experiences are transferred back to increase impact in their home context.
Day 3
Sunday Morning to early afternoon , March 8th (around 1pm finish)
A science fair-style showcase where students present their proposed solutions to the previous day’s case study, followed by closing reflections by school group.
Opportunity for students to celebrate and demonstrate the great work they have done, drawing from the skills taken from working alongside adults and experts in the field as well as their new found network of changemakers.
Sunday Afternoon, March 8th (optional, but highly recommended!)
Join us for a cultural experience exploring the sights, sounds, and flavors of Seoul.
Let’s continue networking, eating and enjoying the local culture as we celebrate the coming together of great, young minds.
